Thiruvananthapuram Division organises DRUCC meeting

Trivandrum: The 78th Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (​DRUCC) of ​Thiruvananthapuram Division was held on February 20, 2025, under the chairmanship of Dr. Manish Thaplyal, Divisional Railway Manager. Committee members representing various organizations and Members of Parliament participated in the meeting conducted at the Office of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM).

During the meeting, an in-depth discussion took place regarding various passenger service concerns and infrastructural developments. Members expressed their views on various aspects such as the introduction of new train services, increasing train frequencies, provision of additional stoppages, improvement of station amenities, construction of Foot Over Bridges, installation of lifts and escalators, and other passenger-related facilities.

The officials attentively addressed the concerns raised and assured the members that all feasible suggestions would be considered. Some of the immediate requirements would be acted upon, while others would be forwarded to higher authorities for necessary approvals. The DRM, in his presidential address, emphasized the commitment of the division to enhancing passenger amenities and services. He assured that all possible actions would be taken to address the concerns and improve railway services.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with members appreciating the division’s efforts in addressing passenger needs. The officials reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with stakeholders and ensuring better railway services.
